About the creator of REVITAFIT Dumbbell 101: Dr Ledivia


Dr. Ledivia Strauss is a functional medical practitioner who is passionate about educating, enabling and encouraging individuals to take control of their own health in a practical, achievable and sustainable way.

Dr. Ledivia grew up in a small town in South Africa. She graduated from med school in 2004 followed by a post-graduate diploma in anesthesiology and was on her way to specialize when her life took an unexpected turn. She moved to France for seven years with her husband who played professional rugby. The Limousin region in the South West of France is where she fell in love with the wholesome lifestyle of the French and their integrative way of treating patients.

She became fluent in French, completed her two-year post-graduate diploma in Mesotherapy at the University of Bordeaux, gave birth to their daughter in 2011, and obtained French citizenship. Together with her family, Dr. Ledivia moved back to South Africa in 2014 and started her functional medical center called RevitaHealth.

With her eighteen years of clinical experience, Dr. Ledivia is a leader in her field and committed to life-long learning and changing people's lives for the better.

About the man behind your workout videos: John McGrath


John has a degree in Sport Management & Science from Waterford Institute of Technology.ο»Ώ

John competed for Ireland in three different sports: rowing, karate and kickboxing. He also earned his black belt in Hapkido - as well as in four other styles of martial arts: Karate, Kombatan, Kung Fu and kickboxing. At 39, John fought for Ireland in the European Kickboxing Champions in Macedonia, making the semi-finals. He has also trained Olympic and World Champions in seven different sports, including athletics, rugby and MMA (mixed martial arts).

He is currently living in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa and is the owner of FitLife Gym, The Yard at Val de Vie Estate. John is also very passionate about changing people's lives through the vehicle of health, fitness and sport.

John established the Emerald Foundation, in 2018 in Mbekweni, outside of Paarl. As a non-profit organisation, the Foundation aims to uplift South African youths physically, emotionally, and spiritually through the medium of sport. It aims to disrupt fixed mindsets and limiting beliefs, and instead, encourage growth mindsets and the ability to transform obstacles into opportunities.Β
